GLASSBORO, N.J. -- Police say a car crashed into three parked vehicles and burst into flames, killing three people inside in eastern Pennsylvania.

Bethlehem Township police say the crash happened shortly after 1:15 a.m. Friday.

Police say they had reports of a car driving at a high rate of speed in the area shortly before the crash.

They say one man was able to run from the burning vehicle, but that three other people inside couldn't escape the flames.

The Northampton County coroner and police were working to identify the victims.

The driver, who was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest, was being treated for severe burns.
