4 injured in head-on crash in Northeast Philadelphia

NORTHEAST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Four people were injured in a head-on crash in Northeast Philadelphia early Thursday morning.

The crash occurred around 4:15 a.m. on Welsh Road near Alton Street.

Police say an Audi and SUV slammed into each other.

The four victims inside the vehicles suffered multiple injuries and were taken to the hospital.

So far, there is no word on their conditions.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Motorists should expect delays in the area.
