Officials say a 15-year-old girl was killed when a car and tractor-trailer collided on Route 130 in Cinnaminson, New Jersey.

It happened around 10:30 a.m. Wednesday when the car was traveling southbound near the intersection of Riverton Road.

Kassidy Bush, a Palmyra High School student, was a passenger in the front seat. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police say the driver was also a juvenile, and his name is being withheld.

He was taken to Cooper University Hospital in Camden, where he was admitted in critical but stable condition.

So far, no charges have been filed against him.

The driver of the tractor-trailer was not injured.

The preliminary investigation revealed that the vehicle was traveling at a high rate of speed and
crashed into the rear of the tractor-trailer.

Investigators say the car had been previously reported as stolen out of Cinnaminson.
Cinnaminson police say they attempted to execute a traffic stop on the vehicle moments before the crash, but the driver accelerated instead of pulling over.

The investigation is being conducted by the Burlington County Prosecutor's Office.
