Pickup truck slams into utility pole on Roosevelt Boulevard in Olney

OLNEY (WPVI) -- Police are investigating a crash on Roosevelt Boulevard in the Olney section of Philadelphia.

It happened before 10 a.m. Friday on the inner southbound lanes at Ninth Street.

Action News is told at least two vehicles were involved.

Video from Chopper 6 HD showed a red pickup truck which had slammed head-on into a utility pole.

A tow truck and two police vehicles were parked nearby.

There was no immediate word on the number or extent of injuries.

Traffic was backed up approaching the scene as police investigated.
