The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in the northbound lanes of I-95 near exit 5 in Lawrence Township.

LAWRENCE TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A crash involving a school bus is causing major delays on I-95 in Mercer County.

It happened around 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in the northbound lanes of I-95 near exit 5 in Lawrence Township.

Police tell Action News the driver lost control, causing the bus to overturn.

Images from Chopper 6 HD overhead showed the bus lying on its side in the middle of a ramp adjoining the highway.

There were no children on board at the time of the crash.

The driver suffered a minor injury and was being treated at the scene.

Traffic was backed up for miles on I-95 North approaching the scene.

Motorists were advised to seek alternate routes.
