A school bus transporting special needs students collided with a sedan in the East Falls section of Philadelphia.

EAST FALLS (WPVI) -- A school bus transporting special needs students collided with a sedan in the East Falls section of Philadelphia.

It happened at 8:20 a.m. Wednesday on the southbound Roosevelt Boulevard extension at the Ridge Avenue exit.

Images from Chopper 6 HD showed a school bus and white sedan stopped in the right lane.

The sedan had front-end damage and appeared to have rear-ended the bus.

There were no reports of serious injuries.

Police tell Action News 10 special needs students on board the bus were going to be evaluated by the school nurse once they arrived at their destination.

Traffic was backed up the southbound Boulevard extension approaching the scene.
