Man, 72, killed by hit-and-run driver in Montco

Investigators are searching for the driver of a car that struck and killed a 72-year-old man in Montgomery County.

LOWER MERION TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Investigators are searching for the driver of a car that struck and killed a 72-year-old man in Montgomery County.

It happened around 6:40 p.m. Friday on the 600 block of Righters Mill Road in Lower Merion Township.

Police say Huiqing Jiang was walking along the road when he was hit.

The driver did not stop.

Another driver found the victim on the road and called for help.

Jiang was rushed to Lankenau Hospital where he died from his injuries.

Police do not have a description of the vehicle that hit him, but they do say it has damage on the front or passenger side.

Anyone with information is asked to call Lower Merion Township police.
