New Jersey State Police say two tractor trailers collided on the New Jersey Turnpike in Middlesex County.

EAST BRUNSWICK TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Traffic is moving again on the New Jersey Turnpike after two tractor trailers collided Wednesday night in Middlesex County.

The accident occurred just before 8:00 p.m. Wednesday in the outer northbound lanes at exit nine in East Brunswick Township.

The impact caused one of the trucks to catch fire.

Fortunately both drivers suffered only minor injuries.

However, the crash caused major traffic delays on the turnpike.

The outer northbound lanes remained closed at the scene Thursday morning.

All three lanes of the inner northbound lanes were back open. The inner shoulder remained closed.

The accident is under investigation.
