Woman struck by pole during car crash in Center City

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- A woman walking in Center City was hospitalized after she was struck by a falling pole during a car crash.

It happened at 1:52 p.m. Saturday on the 700 block of Chestnut Street.

Police say a man driving a white Hyundai Sonata struck a pole and a wall.

The pole then fell, striking a 43-year-old woman.

She was taken to Thomas Jefferson University Hospital where she is listed in stable condition.

No other injuries were reported.

The driver did stop at the scene.

No arrests have been made.
