Transformer fire knocks out power to parts of Olney

OLNEY (WPVI) -- A blown transformer knocked out power to parts of Philadelphia's Olney section.

A utility pole caught fire and sparked an explosion on the 1500 block of Grange Street shortly after 2 a.m. Saturday.

PECO shut off the power while firefighters put out the flames.

No one was hurt.

Crews are now working to restore power to about 50 customers.
