About 80 New Jersey Transit passengers spent the morning stranded at the Jersey shore.

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (WPVI) -- A disabled New Jersey Transit train left passengers stranded outside of Atlantic City Thursday morning.

At approximately 9:10 a.m., Atlantic City Rail Line train #4616 with 80 passengers on board bound for Philadelphia became disabled north of the Absecon Station.

The train regained power and continued on to Absecon. However, the train became disabled again at Absecon.

Another train was brought in and coupled up to the disabled train. Passengers were moved to the second train, as there was no working air conditioning in the disabled train.

On their way back to Atlantic City the combined trains became disabled near Delilah Street, south of Absecon.

The two trains were able to regain function and arrived in Atlantic City at 12:44 p.m.

Service has since resumed on the Atlantic City Line.
