KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (WPVI) -- SEPTA will hold the first of three public meetings Monday on its long-planned King of Prussia Rail Project.
Monday's open house and information session at the Radisson Hotel Valley Forge is set to begin at 4 p.m., with a formal presentation scheduled for 6 p.m.
The meeting will present SEPTA's recommended route for extending the Norristown High Speed Line into King of Prussia.
The route, which SEPTA calls its Locally Preferred Alternative (LPA), travels along part of the PECO and the Pennsylvania Turnpike right-of-way, behind the King of Prussia Mall to 1st Avenue and terminating at North Gulph Road adjacent to the Valley Forge Convention Center and Casino.
The route would include five stops and a park-and-ride lot for commuters at Henderson Road.
Two more public meetings are set for March 9 and March 15 in Norristown and King of Prussia.
