April 26, 2015 (WPVI) -- The Philly Pops are getting set to close out their season with a little Rock and Roll.

The Pops have dubbed their final concert of the season Legends of Rock, and it's a retrospective look at rock and roll, showcasing some of the genre's greatest anthems from the past several decades.

Music Director & Conductor Michael Krajewski says the playlist runs the gamut from early hits from the likes of Paul McCartney and The Police, through more contemporary artists such as Cold Play.

"It's going to be music from Beatles, Crosby Stills and Nash, Yes, Kansas, The Eagles, Journey, Queen and just the best of these classic rock songs will be presented in this program."

Krawjewski says The Pops have enlisted some vocal support from singers Micah Wilshire, Rob Evan and Shem Von Schroek, "We're going to have three phenomenal singers and we're going to have the Philly Pops orchestra. So we're going to have a stage full of talented people."

After a season filled with everything from blockbuster Hollywood scores to classic soul music to hits from the 70's, he says it's the Pops versatility that makes them so unique.

"They are, without question, the finest orchestra that I've been able to work with," says Krajewski, "When an audience member comes to our concert, no matter what kind of music we're playing it sounds great...a 65 piece orchestra of first-class musicians joined by entertainers, performers, who are the top in their various fields of music and, when we put that all together, it's just magic."

The Pops will perform Legends of Rock May 15th- 17th at the Kimmel Center.
