AccuWeather: Cool Night, then Warmer Air Arrives

Cecily Tynan has the latest from AccuWeather.
TONIGHT: Overnight skies will turn clear and temps will drop to the lowest levels of August so far here in Philadelphia. Lows will range from 54 in the outlying suburbs to 63 in Center City.

FRIDAY: High pressure moves right over us on Friday giving us a fantastic finish to the week with wall to wall sun and continued low humidity. Temps rise to 85.

SATURDAY: High drifts slightly eastward and temps warm on a southwesterly wind. Mostly sunny skies mix with just a few clouds. Temps in the upper 80s with dewpoints near 60; so a touch of humidity in the air. High 88.

SUNDAY: The high drifts further offshore and the southwesterly flow becomes more pronounced causing a rise in humidity with dewpoints into the mid 60s. Clouds mix with sun giving the sky a dirtier look than the previous two days. Highs top out right around 90 for a summery finish to the weekend.

MONDAY: Partly sunny, hot and humid. We can't rule out a spotty shower or thunderstorm. High 90.

TUESDAY: September arrives on the hot and humid side. We could even begin the month with a heat wave. We can't rule out a spotty shower or thunderstorm. High 90.

WEDNESDAY: It's still hot and muggy with the chance for a shower or thunderstorm. High 91.

THURSDAY: The heat and humidity sticks around with a high near 90.
