AccuWeather is tracking steady snow that's expected to arrive Tuesday night into Wednesday morning.

TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy and not as cold as recent night. The overnight low will fall down to 22 in the suburbs and 26 in the city.

TUESDAY: We have mainly cloudy skies with some light snow gradually arriving from the north and west late in the day and at night. A general coating to 2" is expected with the higher amounts likely in NW suburbs and about 1" near I-95. Despite the light accumulations, slippery travel is still expected. The high is 40.

WEDNESDAY: Morning snow, followed by late day afternoon sun. The high is 35.

THURSDAY: Mostly sunny skies are expected throughout most of the day with a brisk and chilly high of 37.

FRIDAY: Finally, we begin to emerge from our latest cold snap. Morning lows are in the 20s, but during the afternoon we see mostly sunny skies and a more comfortable high of 49.

SATURDAY: Look for sunshine mixing with a few patchy clouds and another improved high of 49.

SUNDAY: Slightly milder air arrives for those of you tailgating ahead of the Eagles NFC Championship game. Look for a mix of clouds and sun with an afternoon high of 54. Temperatures will fall into the upper 40s during the game. Rain is possible at some point in the evening, hopefully holding off until after the game, but stay tuned.

MONDAY: This is a mostly cloudy day with rain likely. The high is still relatively mild: 56.
