It was a cool day, with a morning low of 42 in Philadelphia (30s in the suburbs) and a high of only 61. That's five degrees below average.

TONIGHT: Skies remain clear, winds are light and temperatures are chilly again. The low in Philadelphia dips to 46 with some suburbs closer to 38.

WEDNESDAY: It's another chilly start with most areas in the 40s, but milder air arrives during the afternoon. We see plenty of sunshine. The high is 72.

THURSDAY: The warming trend continues. Look for mostly sunny skies and a high of 73.

FRIDAY: This is a mainly sunny and pleasant end to the work week with another warm high of 74.

SATURDAY: It will not feel like the second half of October this weekend. We begin with mostly sunny skies and a warm Saturday high of 74.

SUNDAY: Mostly sunny skies are still in store, as is very warm air. The afternoon high will end up near 76.

MONDAY: Partly sunny skies are likely. It will be very mild for the Eagles Monday Night Football game. The high is a warm: 77. We'll slip into the 60s during the game.

TUESDAY: Clouds build in and rain is likely. The high drops to 70.
