Bird exhibit at Montco zoo collapses under snow

NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- A bird exhibit at a zoo in Norristown, Pa. collapsed under the weight of snow during the weekend blizzard.

The Elmwood Park Zoo posted photos to its Facebook page on Monday showing the damage.

In the post, the zoo said the collapse happened on Saturday night.

Fortunately, no people or birds were harmed in the collapse.

The zoo had been appealing for donations to help with operations during the winter even before the collapse.
