The sinkhole was discovered early Tuesday on North 3rd Street near Pratt Street in Hammonton, NJ.

HAMMONTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- A sinkhole has opened up on a street in Hammonton, New Jersey.

The hole on North 3rd Street near Pratt Street was discovered early Tuesday after a night a heavy downpours in the area.

Images from the Action Cam broadcast live on Action News at 6:00 a.m. showed a 2-foot by 3-foot hole in the asphalt blocked off by police tape.

A Hammonton police cruiser was parked nearby.

The hole had been filled by Tuesday afternoon.
