Police: Woman shot in head in Southwest Philly

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One person is in custody after a young woman was found with a gunshot wound in Southwest Philadelphia.

Police were called to a home on the 6800 block of Dicks Avenue just before 6:30 p.m., Sunday.

They found a woman, approximately 19 to 20 years old, with a gunshot wound to the head.

There is no word on her condition or her identity.

Police have not said who they arrested or given any indication as to the motive for the shooting.
