Woman stabbed, set on fire in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police say a woman was stabbed and set on fire after a family dispute in West Philadelphia.

It happened around 8 a.m. Friday in the 1300 block of North 53rd Street.

Police were called to the scene for a report of someone screaming.

Officers arrived to find the woman stabbed in the stomach with burns to the back of her body.

The woman was taken to the hospital and was listed in critical condition.

There was no immediate word of any arrests.
