Woman struck by hit-and-run driver in West Philadelphia

WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A 25-year-old woman is in critical condition Tuesday night, while Philadelphia police hunt for the hit-and-run driver who struck her.

It happened around 4:40 p.m., Tuesday afternoon at 56th Street and Wyalusing Avenue.

Officers said at least a portion of the crash was captured on surveillance video. The video shows a dark colored minivan fleeing the scene southbound along 56th street.

Detectives don't have a description of the driver as of yet.
