Robbers target Crown Fried Chicken in Frankford, flee with hundreds of dollars

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Three robbers got away with hundreds of dollars from a restaurant in Philadelphia's Frankford section, police say.

The holdup happened at the Crown Fried Chicken on the 5100 block of Frankford Avenue just after midnight Wednesday.

Police say the suspects were three males, but no further descriptions were given.

The robbers were last seen running toward SEPTA's Frankford Transportation Center.

No injuries were reported.
