Haddon Township's Jersey Kebab relocating months after ICE detention of owners

HADDON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A popular South Jersey restaurant is preparing to move, months after its owners were detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

Jersey Kebab announced on Facebook that its last day in Haddon Township will be Sunday. The restaurant will reopen in Collingswood at the former location of Stardust Cafe and Pop Shop.

Owners Emine and Celal Emanet were arrested in February, sparking community support and calls for immigration reform.

The couple moved to the United States in 2008 on a religious worker's visa and have been navigating an appeals process for nine years.
