In the Tacony neighborhood, an argument led to a homicide on the 7100 block of Jackson Street. It happened just before 9 p.m. Friday, according to investigators.
In this incident, a 38-year-old man was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.
Police took him to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

Officers say the preliminary investigation revealed that there was an argument between the shooter and the daughter of the victim which resulted in a verbal confrontation inside a home on Jackson Street.
The shooter made threats toward everyone inside the home before leaving the residence. The offender then returned to the home and shot the victim three times, police say.
The suspect fled the scene in an SUV and was last seen heading southbound on Roosevelt Boulevard.
The only description police have of the suspect at this time is that he is a 31-year-old man.
In Southwest Philadelphia, a man believed to be an innocent bystander was hit by a stray bullet in a fatal shooting.
Police say two suspects shot and killed a 35-year-old man at South 57th and Elmwood streets around 11 p.m. Friday night.

A short time later, the bystander arrived at the hospital saying a stray bullet hit him in the leg. The bullet is believed to have come from this deadly incident.
According to police, the two shooters fled the scene and are on the run.
In Strawberry Mansion, a 16-year-old male was shot and killed. Police responded to the shooting at North 32nd and Cumberland streets just before 11 p.m. Friday.
Officers say the teen was found suffering from multiple gunshot wounds at the scene.
Police took the victim to Temple University Hospital where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
In a shooting in the Bustleton neighborhood, a 24-year-old woman was killed on the 2400 block of Welsh Road.
Officials say it happened just after 1 a.m. Police took the woman to Jefferson-Torresdale Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
Police arrested a 25-year-old woman in connection to the shooting.

Finally, another deadly shooting took place on the 4400 block of Oakmont Street in the Mayfair neighborhood of the city just after 1:30 a.m. Saturday.
Police say a man was attempting to visit his son's mother when he got into an argument with his nephew and the nephew's friend.
Officers say during the argument, the friend shot and killed the 48-year-old man.
Action News later learned that the nephew barricaded himself inside a home, prompting a standoff with police.
Officials say the standoff ended, but police are still on the hunt for the homicide suspect.
Police ask the public to come forward with any information that may help with these shooting investigations.
