2 dead, 2 hurt following crash in Burlington County, NJ

According to state police, the collision occurred when a BMW driver slammed into a box truck that was exiting a driveway.

WESTAMPTON TOWNSHIP, New Jersey (WPVI) -- Two people died and two others were injured after a multi-vehicle crash in Westampton Township, Burlington County.

It happened around 4:18 a.m. Sunday on County Road 628.

According to New Jersey State Police, the collision occurred when the driver of a BMW slammed into a box truck that was exiting a driveway.

The BMW hit the back of the box truck and then a utility pole, police said.

The BMW driver, identified as 24-year-old Tyshaun Carter, of Mt. Holly, and passenger, 53-year-old Christopher Blackmon, of Browns Mills, both died at the scene.

Two other occupants of the BMW sustained moderate injuries.

The driver of the box truck was not injured.



The crash remains under investigation.
