Snow totals varied wildly across the area. Parts of the Poconos saw over a foot, and about 10" fell in Allentown. Meanwhile, just six-tenths of an inch was recorded at Philadelphia International Airport.

Chopper video from Limerick Twp., Montgomery County showed plows clearing the streets while nearby kids built a snowman.
On the ground in Royersford, kids and parents were sledding down a big hill on Rittenhouse Road.
"It melts my heart to see my kids playing in the snow like used to," said Melissa Pileggi of Schwenksville.
But while the snow was fun for some, it was work for others.

High schooler Mark Walton was shoveling at a home in Audobon until the blacktop reappeared.
"It's wet, so it's a lot heavier than I expected it to be," he said.
We found one man helping out his neighbors. Josh Toroney was riding an excavator to the corner store, plowing sidewalks along the way.
Since school was closed, Toroney said he would be enjoying the day with his family.
"It's fun to play around. The kids, I have an 8-year-old and a 6-year-old at home, so they enjoy when I can play," Toroney said.

AAA says more than 350 calls for service had come in by 1 p.m.
"It was definitely very treacherous out there today," said Jana Tidwell of AAA Philadelphia.
Even though the snow has stopped, the danger isn't over as overnight temperatures drop and freezing begins
"Tomorrow morning what we'll see is likely a black ice situation, as well as puddles that are not necessarily puddles but they are going to be potholes," said Tidwell.

We found more kids enjoying the snow day in Doylestown, Bucks County.
"We were really excited when school got canceled because we get a lot more freedom during the day," said Ruby Morgan.

Kids flocked to the hills near the Mercer Museum and learned important lessons in Mother Nature's classroom.
"We couldn't get up so easily," said Remy Palermo, "So Lydia and me were making steps."
While the kids were busy playing, road crews made the roads passable after a snow event that many aren't used to anymore.
"We've lived here for three years, and this is our second really big snowfall," said Matt Skaziak. "So it's been really cool."
Skaziak took advantage of the weather and built a snowman with his 8-year-old son Gavin.
