WHEAT RIDGE, Co. (WPVI) -- A man who planned to rob a convenience store had a change of heart because of what he saw when he walked inside.
Police say the masked suspect entered the Colorado business, ready to commit a crime.
But he stopped in his tracks when he recognized the clerk behind the counter.
The would-be robber told the employee, "I was going to rob this place, but I know you."
The suspect then asked the clerk, "Do you know me?"
When the clerk replied he did not recognize the man, the suspect said, "Good."
Then he left and flashed a thumbs up on his way out.
Investigators believe the same man then robbed a nearby 7-Eleven store instead.
