Elsa Alicea's son, Luis, was murdered, and she said the pain is still fresh.
"Everybody's very upset. You know I keep praying. I have a lot of faith, keep praying, asking God to hold me tight," Alicea said.
On Friday, November 18, 2016, Alicea said her son said he was going out.
"He said, 'Mom, I'm going to get a haircut,'" added Alicea.
Just after 4 p.m., police were called to a shooting outside APHILLYATED barbershop along the 600 block of Rising Sun Avenue in Philadelphia's Hunting Park section.
Luis had just gotten his haircut and was standing in front of the shop. He and another man were shot multiple times.
Luis, 29, died from his injuries. He leaves behind five children.
The other victim was treated and released.
The City of Philadelphia is offering up to a $20,000 reward for the arrest and conviction of the person responsible. All you have to do is call the Citizens Crime Commission at 215-546-TIPS.
All calls will remain anonymous.
"I'm still going to go on. I'm still going to look for answers. I'm not going to give up," Alicea said.
