Harrah's Atlantic City guest claims excessive force

ATLANTIC CITY (WPVI) -- The security force at Harrah's Casino Atlantic City is once again in the spotlight for alleged brutality against guests.

On Wednesday, a young nurse came forward claiming she'd been roughed up and it was all captured on surveillance video.

26-year-old Amy Walsh of Metuchen New Jersey, says the guards used excessive force while she was there for a family event.

She spoke out surrounded by her legal team.

On August 25, 2012, Walsh was at Harrah's in Atlantic City for a bachelorette party for her cousin.

The cousin is legally blind. In total, there were six guests sitting at a VIP table by the pool.

Three of them were blind and they had all asked to sit together.

Walsh says, as the night went on, bouncers at the hotel told them only five people could sit at the table and that's when the altercation started.

The 26-year-old says she was brutally beaten, grabbed by the throat and pinned to the wall.

"It was brutal. I really did fear for my life in that the moment. I didn't know why I was being treated that way or what I could have done to be treated that way," Walsh said.

Walsh says she was ashamed to talk about it when the incident occurred.

But when others began to share their bad experiences, she felt she wasn't alone and decided to come forward.

There are now at least nine lawsuits against Harrah's for accusations of excessive force.
