WEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- SEPTA officials say one of its drivers and 11 passengers were hurt when a Route 65 bus hit a traffic signal in West Philadelphia.
It happened at 10:10 a.m. Tuesday at Haverford and Lansdowne Avenues.
Images from Chopper 6 HD over the scene showed the bus on a concrete traffic median and a utility pole that had been sheared off at the base standing upright in the middle of the road, held in place by electrical wires.
SEPTA tells Action News the driver experienced a medical episode and momentarily lost control of the bus, causing it to veer into the utility pole.
All of the injured were taken to area hospitals for treatment.
There was no immediate word on their conditions.
None of the injuries were believed to be life-threatening.
