NORRISTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Montgomery County authorities are asking for the public's help tracking down a person of interest in last week's courthouse bomb scare.

Police released surveillance video Tuesday of a man calling in the threat from a 7-Eleven payphone around 8:30 a.m. Thursday.

The phone is located at Main Street and Montgomery Avenue in West Norriton.

The next call came three minutes later to county public safety officials from a mobile phone traced to the same area.

Authorities have stopped short of calling him the prime suspect.

"We've identified as a person of interest and we believe that he would have information about what happened," Montgomery County District Attorney Risa Vetri Ferman said.

He said there were "bombs and explosives" in the courthouse.

After a 2-hour evacuation, no explosives were discovered, but the court's day was completely disrupted.

"A senseless act such as this and a dangerous act in my opinion does nothing but disrupt the administration of justice and it delays decisions need be made," President Judge William Furber of the Montgomery County Common Pleas Court said.

"We're always going to err on the side of caution and we just can't take risk. The world we live in today is one where people do these types of things," Montgomery County Sheriff Russell Bono said.

Anyone who recognizes the man in the surveillance video is asked to call Norristown police or the Montgomery County District Attorney's office.
