Man shot in car in North Philadelphia

NORTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are looking for the person who shot a man in the back while he was sitting in a car on a North Philadelphia street.

The shooting happened around 3:30 a.m. Sunday at 10th and Diamond streets.

Police say the victim was able to drive away and spotted some police officers who were investigating a crash nearby.

Officers took the injured man to Temple University Hospital.

There is no word on his condition at this time.

Police are looking at surveillance video to try and identify the shooter.
