Woman found handcuffed, stabbed, shot in Fairmount Park ID'd
FAIRMOUNT PARK -- Action News has learned the name of the woman who was found handcuffed, stabbed, and shot in Fairmount Park.
She is identified as Toy Charda Bryan, 26, of Chester, Delaware County. Her family has been notified.
The discovery was made around 8:15 a.m. Tuesday in the 5300 block of Georges Hill Drive, near the Mann Center.
Investigators arrived to find the woman who had been handcuffed, stabbed repeatedly, and shot one time in the back of the head.
She was found face down and pronounced dead on the scene.
Authorities say the victim had three very distinctive tattoos.
"She had the word 'loyal' across her chest, she had the word 'kash' with a K on her right wrist, and a tattoo of a rose on her right thigh," Captain James Clark of the Philadelphia Police Department said.
Police do not believe Bryan was killed at the Fairmount Park location where she was discovered. They believe she was murdered and then moved to the spot near the Mann Center.
Investigators also say it was clear from defense wounds on her body that she fought hard to defend herself.
"I believe she was in a fight for her life and unfortunately she lost," Clark said.
No weapons were found at the scene.
