Arson investigation underway after 2 injured in Fern Rock fire

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Two people were hospitalized following an early morning house fire Saturday in Fern Rock, according to the Philadelphia Fire Department.

Crews responded to the 5700 block of North Camac Street around 3:55 a.m. and found flames coming from the rear of a two-story rowhome.

Firefighters worked for more than an hour to bring the blaze under control.

Two people from the home were taken to Jefferson Einstein Hospital suffering from smoke inhalation.

The Fire Marshal's Office has ruled the fire an arson and is investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
