College Football Playoff predictions: Who's most likely to make the field

The College Football Playoff is a long way away, but there was plenty of action in Week 1 that could come into consideration at the end of the season.

Ohio State already has earned a signature win by shutting down Arch Manning and Texas in Columbus. Brian Kelly and LSU got their season started with a comeback victory atClemson. Alabama went to Tallahassee and got more than it asked for: The Crimson Tide trailed Florida State for most of the afternoon and lost by two scores.Miami won a squeaker at home against Notre Dame. And Boise State, coming off a CFP appearance, was blown out 34-7 atSouth Florida.

Some teams handled their business. Penn State, Georgia, Arizona State, Michigan and Florida all won easily.
