
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are investigating a fatal shooting in South Philadelphia.
Officers responded to the 1900 block of Durfor Street around 1:35 a.m. Saturday after receiving reports of gunfire.
When police arrived on the scene, they found a man suffering from a gunshot wound to the chest.
Authorities transported the victim to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
Police say one spent shell casing was found at the scene.
No arrests have been made, and no weapon has been recovered at this time.
