PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- The popular West Philadelphia music venue, World Cafe Live, has declared bankruptcy.
The venue has been dealing with growing debt, tax problems, and protests by employees.
The bankruptcy filing shows that World Cafe Live's parent company - "Live Connections.org" has liabilities between $1 million and $10 million.
The venue unveiled a new name and new logo on Thursday and will call itself "World Stage."
Shows scheduled through the spring appear to still be on.
