A tourist pleaded not guilty to charges accusing him of hurling a coconut-sized rock at an endangered Hawaiian monk seal
A swimmer is recovering from injuries caused by a Hawaiian Monk Seal at Kaimana beach. The seal, Rocky, has been at the beach since giving birth to pup two weeks ago.
There was some concern for Delaware officials after a seal kept coming ashore on busy Dewey Beach.
Harassing a monk seal is "punishable by up to five years in prison and a $10,000 fine," officials said.
As ice dissolves into slush, these pups are in danger of drowning, being crushed by large ice chunks or being eaten by predators.
Some people say seals are actually water dogs and a video shared by a diver may prove it to be true.
