- Special Weather Statement
A combination of dry and windy conditions will create an elevated risk of wildfire spread across southeast Pennsylvania this afternoon. Minimum relative humidity values will range from 30 to 35 percent accompanied by wind gusts between 25 and 35 mph. High temperatures in the upper 70s to lower 80s under partly to mostly sunny skies will be conducive for outdoor recreation, but please avoid any activities that could start a fire. Residents are urged to exercise caution if handling any potential ignition sources, such as machinery, cigarettes, or matches. If dry grasses and tree litter begin to burn, the fire will have the potential to spread rapidly. - Special Weather Statement
There is an increased risk for rapid fire spread this afternoon across parts of southeastern Pennsylvania. Minimum relative humidity values will be around 30 to 35 percent combined with southwest winds of 10 to 20 mph with gusts up to 35 mph. High temperatures will be in the upper 70s to low 80s. These conditions, along with the continued drying of fine fuels, could support the rapid spread of any fires that ignite, which could quickly become difficult to control. Outdoor burning is strongly discouraged. Be sure to properly extinguish or dispose of any potential ignition sources, including smoking materials such as cigarette butts.More
