PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- One teenager was killed and another was injured in separate shootings in Philadelphia.

Police said a 17-year-old boy was shot around 7:30 p.m. Wednesday on the 6700 block of North 16th Street in West Oak Lane.

The teen, identified as Antoine Coleman of the 6700 block of North 16th Street, was taken by officers to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he died of his injuries.

A search is underway for the shooter. He is described by police as a black male wearing a dark hooded sweatshirt.

In the city's Grays Ferry section, a suspect shot a 16-year-old boy.

It happened on the 1400 block of South Etting Street around 8:20 p.m. Wednesday.

Police said the victim was shot multiple times in the groin.

He is hospitalized in critical condition.

There has been no arrest in this case either.
