HAMILTON TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- Authorities have identified the two people who died in a fiery crash on the Atlantic City Expressway.

It happened around 1:29 p.m. Friday in the westbound lanes near milepost 20.4 in Hamilton Township.

The deceased victims have been identified as 35-year-old Sean McBride and 31-year-old Gabrielle Lynnes.

Officials say McBride was driving a Jeep Liberty with Lynnes as a passenger.

That's when he lost control and struck a BMW which was stopped on the right shoulder.

The driver of the BMW, identified as 38-year-old Scott Lerario, was checking a flat tire when the crash occurred.

He was also struck by the Jeep and thrown. The Jeep also caught fire.

Video submitted to JoinTheAction@6abc.com showed the vehicle on fire before the westbound lanes of the highway were closed.

All three victims were taken to AtlanticCare Medical Center where McBride and Lynnes were pronounced dead.

Lerario was listed in stable condition.

The accident remains under investigation.
