Small plane crashes at Heritage Field Airport in Limerick Township, Pa.

LIMERICK TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- Emergency responders are on the scene of a small plane crash in Montgomery County.

The crash occurred around 7:15 p.m. Wednesday at Heritage Field Airport on the 3300 block of West Ridge Pike in Limerick Township.

Chopper 6 video showed the aircraft flipped upside down in a grassy area of the airport.

Officials said one person was transported to a hospital. The extent of that person's injuries was not immediately known.

The cause of the crash is still under investigation.
