Orlando Brown turns up, apologizes

April 23, 2008 The 20-year-old star of the Disney show That's So Raven left his manager's house around 10:20 Tuesday morning to make a quick trip to 7-Eleven and never came back.

The convenience store is within a short walking distance from his manager's home in Studio City.

People Magazine reported Wednesday night that Brown turned up late today saying he simply "needed to be alone."

In a statement, Brown thanked fans for their support and apologized for not informing anyone of his whereabouts for over 24 hours.

According to the magazine Brown had a problem involving a scheduled performance at Club Tattoo in Los Angeles. After he incident, the statement said, he "felt a little lost and needed to get away."

Brown's publicist denied some speculation that the disappearance was a publicity stunt.

According to published reports, Brown has been in the talks to have his own "That's So Raven" spin-off. Raven stopped production last year after a four-year run. Brown played Eddie Thomas on the show.

Brown was arrested last year. Police in the Houston area stopped Brown on April 10, 2007 for driving with his lights off. The investigating officer reportedly found nine grams of marijuana in his vehicle. Brown was charged with possession of marijuana. At the time, he told ABC affiliate KTRK that the car belonged to a friend and he did not know about the drugs. (READ STORY)

Brown has also appeared in a number of television shows and movies. He was also working on a new rap single.
