POINT BREEZE (WPVI) -- An innocent bystander was one of three people shot in the Point Breeze section of Philadelphia late Thursday night.

The shooting happened around 11 p.m. in the 1900 block of South Bonsall Street. Officers arrived to find two men on the ground suffering from gunshot wounds.

A 32-year-old was shot in the knee and a 49-year-old was shot in both legs. Both have lengthy rap sheets and may have been among the intended targets, police say.

But 64-year-old Miguel Soto has a clean record.

Soto tells Action News he fled towards his house when the gunfire broke out but felt a sting in his ankle. By the time he got inside he was bleeding heavily and realized he'd been shot.

He drove himself to the hospital where he was treated and released.

Police investigate shooting in Point Breeze. Jeannette Reyes reports during Action News at 4:30 a.m. on October 11, 2017.

Police have collected surveillance video showing two men fleeing, but are not yet ready to release it.

Police do not have a motive and, at this point, aren't positive the two other men were the intended targets.

They're hoping the video, along with witness accounts, will lead them to the suspects.
