Man shot dead in Kensington

KENSINGTON -- Police say a suspect is in custody after a 27-year-old man was shot to death in Philadelphia's Kensington's neighborhood.
It happened around 8:35 p.m. Wednesday at Monmouth and Gaul streets.
Police have identified the victim as Shannon Blassengale of the 2200 block of East Ann Street.
Blassengale had been shot four times in the mid-section.
Officers rushed him to Temple University Hospital for treatment, but he died from his injuries.
Police say the shooting was domestic related and the investigation is ongoing.
