"St. Pea's Day" garden party in Trenton

TRENTON, N.J. (WPVI) -- Irish eyes were smiling as senior citizens planted peas for Saint Patrick's day.

Residents at the Reading Senior center in Trenton held their 2nd annual St. Pea's day garden party.

They wore green, ate a delicious green lunch with green lemon/limeade, and got a package of green peas to plant.

Thursday is traditionally considered the start of the planting season nationwide.
