Terminix has reached a deal with the federal government after a fumigation sickened a family from Delaware.

Last year, Stephen Esmond, his wife Theresa Devine, and their two teenage sons became sick while staying at a resort in St. John in the Virgin Islands.

The sons are still recovering.

The government says Terminix was using methyl bromide, even though it was banned in 1984.

The pest company has agreed to pay a total of $10-million in criminal fines.
