Philadelphia police are looking for two men behind a violent armed robbery on the streets of Old City.

OLD CITY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police are looking for the suspects who beat and robbed two men in Old City earlier this month.

The incident happened back just before 2 a.m. on April 8 on the unit block of Bank Street.

Surveillance video shows the 24 and 25-year-old victims walking down the street when two armed suspects got out of a newer model Kia Optima parked near the sidewalk and approached them.

One suspect began beating one of the victims in the head and demanding his belongings while the second suspect went through their pockets.

At one point, the first suspect drops his gun, but his accomplice managed to pick it up.

They took a wallet, a cell phone, and about $200 dollars in cash, then drove off.

Police describe the first suspect as a black male in his mid 30s, 5'8" tall with short hair and a thin build. He was wearing a silver mask covering the bottom of his face and was armed with a handgun.

The second suspect is described as a black male, 20 to 30-years-old with facial hair. He was wearing a dark colored zip-up hooded sweatshirt.
