Elementary school gets more than a "school nurse"

NEW CASTLE, Del. (WPVI) -- Governor Jack Markell was on hand for the ribbon cutting ceremony at a one of a kind wellness center in New Castle.

The Life Health Center is the first in the state of Delaware to be based inside an elementary school.

A nurse practitioner will be on-site to diagnose and write prescriptions for students and their families.

There will also be behavioral health services available.
