At least five people were injured, one critically, in a multi-vehicle crash in Medford, Burlington County.

MEDFORD, N.J. (WPVI) -- Five people were injured, one critically, in a multi-vehicle crash in Medford, Burlington County.

The three-vehicle collision occurred around 5:30 p.m. Wednesday on Route 70 near Main Street.

Five ambulances and two helicopters were sent to the scene.

Police say the driver of a Chrysler Town & Country van was traveling eastbound when the vehicle crossed the median and hit two westbound vehicles.

Three victims - a 41-year-old man, 31-year-old woman and 27-year-old man - were flown to Cooper University Hospital. The 41-year-old man is listed in critical condition, and the others are stable.

Two other victims suffered minor injuries, and were taken to Virtua Marlton Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the minivan was not hurt.

The road was closed for five hours for the cleanup and investigation.
